Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective October 4, 2026. Applies to ProofAscent subscriptions operated by Ruby Chen. Mandatory consumer rights and payment-provider requirements take priority over this discretionary policy.
Renewal and cancellation
Paid plans renew automatically monthly or yearly at the disclosed checkout price until canceled. Cancel future renewal at Workspace → Membership → Manage billing / Cancel renewal. If the payment portal is unavailable, email proofascentservice@gmail.com with your account email and request to cancel; we will not require a survey or a retention call.
Cancellation ends future renewal. Access normally continues through the paid period. Cancellation is not itself a refund request. The checkout states the charge, currency, billing interval, tax where applicable, and automatic-renewal terms before you authorize payment.
14-day discretionary refund
Request a refund within 14 days after a subscription payment. A discretionary refund is available only if no successfully completed paid AI processing occurred in that paid period. This includes paid coach replies and requested paid analyses of proofs, skills, roadmaps, or monthly reports. We check server-side paid-usage records; free-plan use, failed requests, and merely opening the website do not disqualify you.
A completed paid AI request may make the payment ineligible for a discretionary refund because service processing costs have been incurred. We will explain the relevant usage record if a request is declined. We do not automatically deny refunds based on an unverified assertion of token costs.
How to request and statutory exceptions
Email proofascentservice@gmail.com with your account email, payment date or billing reference, and requested remedy. Do not send passwords or full card numbers. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment provider where possible; timing depends on that provider and your bank.
This policy does not limit legally required cooling-off, refunds for unauthorized or incorrect charges, remedies for deficient services, or any other nonwaivable right. Using AI is not assumed to waive a statutory cancellation right. Any legally required advance consent or acknowledgement for immediate digital-service performance must be obtained separately at checkout. Applicable law and the payment provider’s mandatory rules prevail.
